A new documentary film called ‘Personal Best‘ which is released in cinemas this Friday 25th May.
It featured UK Olympic athlete Jeanette kwakye who was approached in 2006 to be part of a short film called ‘Sprinters’ which documented my then training group and coach, Michael Afilaka, over the 2007 athletics season.
The success of ‘Sprinters’ resulted in the feature length documentary ‘Personal Best’ that was made with the help of the British Film Industry and Adidas.
This was filmed over four years from 2007 and charts the in and outs of four London athletes training for London 2012. It is beautifully shot and directed by Sam Blair. I can assure you, this is the best insight you can get into what athletes at varying levels, go through on a daily basis.

Jeanette kwakye is one of the athletes in the film and will be part of a few Q&A sessions in Hackney and Stratford over the next couple of weeks.
