Latoya will be joining our Inspirational YOUth panel, entitled ‘I am young and winning’ on Saturday 30th June at birkbeck, University of London

 

Latoya Andrée Kessie work within events at the renowned WPP sports marketing agency – PRISM. Her role at the organisation is dynamic and she mainly works on executing sponsorship activation events during large sporting ceremonies. Her work includes hosting a large hospitality program with Infiniti and Red Bull’s Formula One Racing VIP guests and media at the Italian Grand Prix last year and working on the European distribution of UEFA Champions League tickets for Sony VIP guests. At the moment, she is currently working on an Olympic activation event ahead of the 2012 games.

Prior to working at PRISM, Latoya proved to be an active student in the university community. She was an active member of the African Caribbean Society, female basketball team and a sports editor for the University newspaper. She also won the prestigious John Hoborough Community award for solely hosting and organising a large charitable fashion show sponsored by House of Fraser, Selfridges and Essensuals – a Toni & Guy subsidiary company.

In 2010 she went to Beijing, China to work for Auditoire – a luxury events company that was a subsidiary of the well known TBWA advertising agency. During her time in China she was involved in events such as Vogue (Beijing) Fashion Night Out, Levi’s launch of Denizen, Lamborghini car launches and Volkswagen car launches.

 

Latoya had also spent a year at the boutique design company called Zone Creations heading all marketing communication activity.  During her time there she worked with clients such as Buckingham Palace and Harrods.

Latoya has expressed a love for events across a wide range of sectors in fashion, entertainment and sports. She is a volunteer at Fashion Awareness Direct (FAD) and was recently selected to represent the Youth forum. The charity encourages students under the age of 25 to get involved with the fashion industry. In order to further enhance her influence in the fashion industry she will be launching her first fashion blog called “FashionClutter” in the next month.
