Unity Radio Online

UnityRadio

Bruce Grove, Tottenham Youth Club has its own internet radio station which began in July 2012!

The birth of Unity Radio enabled young people to have a positive new voice and facilitated radical change for the better.Unity radio gave them the opportunity to creatively shine, prosper and express themselves.

In 2012, the station had the opportunity to gain coverage of the Haringey Olympic Torch ceremony prior to the start of the Olympics, interview with Hilary Clinton’s special envoy during the ‘March Against Hate’ campaign to promote peace in Tottenham.

In 2013 Our reporters also interviewed Rev Jesse Jackson at the Bernie Grants Arts Centre.

This year, we were also fortunate to interview David Lammy MP live at our radio studio.

Bruce Grove Youth Club stands within the heart of South Tottenham, and provides a community base for young people to connect with one another and engage in positive activities.

Unity Radio has already raised community spirit as well as reaching and connecting a variety of diverse groups and communities.

What began as a summer project,  has evolved into an ongoing sustainable project run by young people for young people in Haringey.
