Shivon Bailey will be performing at IY Live on Sunday 28th October.
Shivon Bailey’s has been described as ‘a heartfelt performer, who is able to pierce your soul with her organic sound and intriguing lyrical content’. (Natasha Fuyane, Snowdrop Media)
Her influences range from; Lauren Hill, Lala Hathaway, Norah Jones, India Arie and Musiq Soul Child she graduated from The Institute of Contemporary Music, where she worked with vocal stars including Terri Eliis (En Vogue) and songwriter Shola Ama.
Since then Shivon has played in venues such as the Rhythm Factory, The Pigalle club, Roundhouse Studios, Enterprise, and The Fym Fyg Bar and in 2010 released an E.P entitle ‘The Presentation’, with video’s which received over 4,000 views on YouTube in a few months.
After creating music based on her teaching experiences in India and Kenya she was went on a UK tour in clubs, schools and colleges in London, Scotland, Liverpool and Newcastle to share some of her original songs.
Shivon continues to work on her own music and is seeking new opportunities both as a musician and music tutor. We looking forward to working with her at IY Live on the 28th October 2012.
