Kim Sterling-Haig will be joining our ‘Let’s talk business’ panel at the Stephen Lawrence Centre in Lewisham. Kim is the founder of Tippee Toes, who deliver pre-school music classes and is a qualified Early Years Music Practitioner and Certified Infant Massage Instructor.
Kim has worked at several of the Big Six accountancy and law firms in London & Frankfurt as both a PA and Legal Secretary. Kim is proud of her achievements as she quite freely admits that before having children, she was somewhat scared of their unpredictability.
Since having children of her own, Kim’s whole world is child related and because of her genuine passion for young children, this has seen her business grow from strength to strength. To date, Kim has three staff members and operates in three boroughs: Southwark, Lambeth and Lewisham.
Tippee Toes run over 12 pre-school classes a week including: music and movement workshops, baby massage courses, drama classes and soft play clubs. Staff also do adhoc work in nursery and childcare facilities. As well as weekly workshops, Tippee Toes offer soft play hire for parties and family functions and party entertainment for the under 5s.
In addition, Tippee Toes operates as a first class mobile wedding crèche facility taking care of children during dinner and wedding speeches. Kim’s experience and skills means that she is well placed to offer advice on taking the plunge in running your own small business and to offer some good tips on what has made her brand so successful in a relatively short space of time.
