Volunteer Events Assistant
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Volunteer Events Assistant to join our London based social enterprise. This role is ideal for someone who is looking to gain events experience. The main purpose of this role is to provide administrative support for the team focusing on the various aspects of resourcing and learning and development.
Duties will include (but not limited to):
– Data entry, filing and photocopying
– Answering queries
– Training course administration
– Chasing up queries with users
– Drafting letters regarding usage of the Pop Up Shop
– Co-ordinating events
– Venue set up for events
– Learning event and delegate bookings
– Events administration
– Evaluation of events
– Project Work
– Reception Cover
This role will require proficient IT and social media skills.
We will expect volunteers to be able to commit to 3-5 days a week for a set period of time (6 weeks minimum).
In return, you will receive exposure to many different aspects within events management – valuable experience for anyone who is looking to take the first step in this industry.
We will reimburse your travelling costs (to and from the office) and up to £3.50 per day for lunch.
Many of our volunteers go on to gain paid employment.
