our members and their associates. Our networking nights take place on the last Friday of every month. These events are equally popular among lawyers and professionals from a wide range of other sectors as they are an excellent way to improve your network of contacts, as well as to develop those you already have. Arrive early to take part in one of 2 focus groups – details below. We look forward to welcoming you. The BSN Events Team Have your say – Take part in a 45 minute focus groupThe SRA is conducting a review of Continuing Professional Development and have commissioned a research study by Nottingham Law School, Nottingham Trent University. They are keen to consult solicitors directly about their experiences of the current CPD framework and seek their views on alternative CPD frameworks. They are particularly interested to explore how experiences and CPD requirements may differ for certain groups of solicitors.
A second team from Nottingham Law School is undertaking a seperate study on Legal Education and Training. The review is intended to be a fundamental, evidence-based review of education and training requirements across legal services in England and Wales. One of the topics on which the researchers will report involves questions of mobility and diversity in legal education and training. We are seeking up to 20 solicitors and trainees to take part in 2 focus groups at 6.30pm at our Networking Night on 25th May 2012. If you would like to take part, please send an email by 5pm on Thursday 24 May with your name, year of admission, or date you complete your training contract to events@blacksolicitorsnetwork.co.uk and we will send you further details.
