Routes South West Touring Development Programme 2013/14 – Bringing underrepresented music to audiences across the South West.
Bristol Music Trust has been awarded funding from Arts Council England to develop their successful Routes South West Touring programme.
This programme aims to achieve the following goals:
Enable more diverse music programming across the South West Region
To bring producers and artists together with regional small to medium-scale venues in the South West to encourage and support regional touring
To encourage better partnership working between promoters and producers working in small to medium scale touring.
To enable more diverse programming.
We are looking for tour proposals for Routes South West Autumn 2013 and Spring 2014 tours. The proposals will be assessed by the Routes South West advisory group who will select 6-8 proposals to be “pitched” to around 15 small to medium scale regional venues at a networking day on Monday 21st October at Colston Hall, Bristol.
Each selected tour will receive subsidy from Routes SW programme of up to £5000. The project aims to fund between 3 – 4 of the proposed tours in each round.
Please note the subsidy is not available to applicants already in receipt of funding though Arts Council England as an NPO or through Grants for the Arts or the Strategic Touring Fund. However, if you have money or are applying to the latter two schemes, Routes South West will also be providing an opportunity for you to pitch your proposal to South West venues and discuss your application with an ACE representative.
The criteria for consideration are as follows:
Your work is tour-ready.
The proposal is for new artistic tours or collaborations.
You are an artist/s wanting to develop your role as a producer.
You are a promoter wanting to develop your role as a producer.
You are working with new and emerging genres and artists.
Please refer to the guidelines attached and use the budget template included when writing your proposals.
