Emile is a British fashion designer who is a graduate from London College of Fashion.  Currently 28. he started sewing when he was 18 after been taught by his mum and a good friend before he started his degree. By the time he finished studying he had already built up good working relationships with a range of companies that would later help to further his career.
After leaving uni he set up a high street brand called Bellanina which was selling to the likes of Topshop, ASOS and Allders. In 2008 Emile was chosen by the London Development Agency with a handful of other designers to go to New York and represent The best of young British designers during New York Fashion Week.

In 2010 Carr chose to break away from high street fashion and move up the ladder into high fashion setting up the brand Emile. Since launching in the area of the market he has worked Alexander McQueen, Mulberry, Erdem and was part of the small British contingent that helped to get the Australia Olympic Team Uniforms looking so sharp. Aside from design Emile has also worked with NEET‘s, the disabled and ex offenders teaching them how to sew in independently run workshops.

Contrast and structure are symptomatic features of Emile’s collection from now and beyond. His brand aim is to use its British heritage to attract Asian and European clientele.
The distinctive style will marry up well when translated through the up and coming menswear collection launching September 2013.
